">this is me (take it or leave it)

2005-04-17 - 11:32 p.m. - which one is it?

there are three possibilities, and i honestly dont know which one to choose as being right:

1. you really do reach a point in life when you aren't happy, and you will never be as happy as you once were. you just instinctively move forward. but you will never be happy again.

2. you go through long periods of unhappiness, during which you look back on the times you remember being happy and think you will never be that happy again. but the truth is, you will. it's just a matter of working towards making yourself happy again.

3. you are never happy in the present, only in the past. the time you think back on as being "the last time you were truly happy" only seems happy now that you have hindsight. in reality, you werent happy then either. you just think you were happy, now that you can be 100% objective about it. so will you never know that you are happy until you can look back. only then will you say, "that was awesome. i was so happy then."
