2004-10-11 - 9:26 p.m. - THEN vs. THAN

im sorry but i can no longer sit back and let this go on. we're high school graduates, people!

"To have a mastery of words is to have in one's possession the ability to produce order out of chaos."

THEN vs. THAN

the word THEN is only used in terms of time, a sequence of events, or a specific instance:
first we went shopping, then we went out for dinner, then we robbed a bank...
then, in that case, i would have to conclude that you are totally psycho...
when? then!

the word THAN is only used to compare two people, places, ideas, or options:
he is taller than her...
i would rather cut off my arm than listen to a staind album...
they would rather have been in that swamp than anywhere else on earth...

to learn more, go here.

or just go to google.com and type in "then and than."
